Mr. Pritpal Singh Sidhu is first Indian who has completed his masters degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Advance Prosthetics) from University of Strathcldye, Glasgow (Scotland) in 2004 & PGD in Lower Limbs Prosthetics Bio-Mechanics In 1999. He completed his MBA (HM) for Jaipur National University. He completed his graduation in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research, Cuttack, Orissa in 1992 under Punjab Mandi Board Scheme.
Mr. Pritpal Singh Sidhu has worked as Senior Clinical Orthotist in various District Health Boards in New Zealand. He has also worked as Prosthetics & Orthotics Trainer in Tajikistan in 2010 & 2011 under a humanitarian mission by Handicap International & Operation Mercy. He trained local medical & paramedical staff in Tajikistan to serve the needy children suffering from Polio. He an Accredited Practitioner by the New Zealand Orthotics & Prosthetics Association and Rehabilitation Council of India.
He has presented various papers and chaired many Scientific Sessions in different International and National Conferences. He was awarded the best Rehabilitation Specialist by Government of Punjab in 2005. Presently he serving a Senior Prosthetist & Orthotist cum DDRO in District Disability Rehabilitation Centre Patiala (A joint venture by Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Patiala & PDU IPH New Delhi) . He is also serving as visiting faculty in various Indian Universities for the subject of Rehabilitation medicine (P&O).
